TomTom introduceert dashboardnavigator GO I-90
TomTom heeft de GO I-90 aangekondigt, een navigatiesysteem voor in het dashboard. Het past in de standaard dubbel DIN-ruimte voor autoradio’s, waardoor het systeem in de meeste dashboards is in te bouwen. Doordat er een los TomTom-kastje uitgehaald kan worden, is de navigator ook buiten de auto te gebruiken. Het systeem wordt aangesloten op de speakers van de auto, zodat er sprake is van een goede geluidskwaliteit. Ook handenvrij bellen is mogelijk. De bekende TomTom-functies zoals TomTom MapShare en waarschuwingen voor flitspalen zijn aanwezig. Standaard staat het kaartmateriaal van West-Europa op het apparaat. De TomTom GO I-90 zal via inbouwspecialisten te koop zijn. TomTom raadt aan de inbouw door een professionele dealer te laten uitvoeren. De kosten zullen 599 euro bedragen, exclusief installatiekosten. Verkrijgbaar in december. Specificaties in het Engels na de break.
